P0441 (16825): EVAP Emiss.control.sys: incorrect Purge Flow..?
Hi Everyone,
I went to fill up my car at a Mobil station. Filled it up, went to start it, and the idle was horrible. Tryed to restart the car a few times and eventually it ran like normal again. The next day a CEL came up.
It read P0441 (16825). Retightened the gas cap, cleared the code with an OBDII scanner, drove it a day and the CEL came back.
Anyone have this come up before? Doing a search, only a few posts came up. Some mentioned a N80 valve or charcoal canister..has anyone changed either of these on their TT??
Thanks,

Did you try to fill it past the click off?...>
Some cars do this when you try to stuff all the gas you can in there. It wlll probably clear itself...
My daughters Mazda used t do this until she stopped filling at the click..
Another poster who just sold a car had his buyer do this on the way home..Unfortunately in that case the dealer fleeced him for $1K in work.

No, I never 'top off' the tank..>>
I was thinking it was bad gas or something, since the car ran really odd when I started it to leave the gas station..
but after that initial weird start up, the car started up/ran fine, but the next day that code came up...
Looking at the golf/jetta forums, a few guys got the same code and people suggested it being a bad n80 valve.
I just don't know where this valve is located.
Thanks for your quick reply

Dunno exactly, but the Evap stuff is...>>
In the spare tire hump, accessed from below.
For now I'd clear the code and see if it returns..

thx for the pic. I already cleared it once and it came back. do you have to>>
remove the muffler/heatshield to access that EVAP spare tire hump area?
Is that where the n80 valve is located at?..
thanks again.

No prob, thx. I think the n80 is by the pwr steering reservoir..>>
..now i just gotta find the part number for it..
vortex 1.8t forum lists the part# to be 0 280 142 354, but it doesn't come up on any of the VW/Audi parts sites..
..actually..there's probably a chance the part# is on the part itself..i'll have to check that out..
thanks,
