HELP! Alarm - Glass Break Sensor problem...
Hey Guys
I've got a big problem with my alarm system. Basically it continues to go off/be triggered if I turn it on. As soon as I lock the car with the keyfob and the alarm activates it continually goess off! I checked for codes and get the following:
01403 - Glass Break Sensors - Rear
36-10 Open Circuit
I STFA and there was only one post relating to these sensors stating that the control module (J347) was located over the left rear fender behind the trim inside the trunk?
Well I pulled all that trim off couldn't see it anywhere even after pulling most of the Bose system out of the way behind the trim in that location to find it and nothing?
Does anyone know anything about this problem and or where these sensors & module are?
Any help would be greatly appreciated as I basically have unplugged the alarm horn which is ok but the indicators won't stop flashing.
Or I have to left my trunk lid slightly ajar( but still closed with the interior light switched off)so the alarm won't activate and go off.
Either way I just want to sort this out so I can operate the alarm sytem the way it was intended and have some protection besides my aftermarket immobiliser system
Help!
Thanks in Advance

here's a few ideas...
the sensors are located in the b-pillars. There are 4 total. 2 are forward facing, and 2 are rearward facing. They are at the very top of the b-pillar.
Taking down the b-pillar plastic should be treated the same way as letting a dentist rummage around in your mouth. It is a slight puzzle as to how to get those plastic pieces off without breakage, so in other words be very careful.
Basically, you can temporarily move the sensors (within the plastic covers) from side to side in the car. This will tell you if it is the sensor, or the wiring.
An "open circuit" isn't necessarily a wiring issue. It could be that the smoke was let out of the sensor, and the module is calling, but no one is home!
