Default Sunvisor / Vanity Mirror Light Fix

Hi, all, today I fixed another annoying thing on my car that didn't work. The passenger side Sunvisor / Mirror Light. This applies to the "facelift" D2 A8 as Im sure the Lights where in the visor on the earlier versions (can't remember)

If you click the URL I have detailed what I did as much as possible and included some pictures. I hope it seems atleast understandable,I apologise for any spelling errors.. if it prooves to be helpful, then maybe a moderator or admin could add it to the Tech articles section. I can send all relevant images/ files if need be.

Bye for now<ul><li><a href="http://www.24-7-killing-fields.com/uploads/pictures/audi/Sunvisor_fix.htm">Sunvisor /Vanity Mirror Light Fix</a></li></ul>

early A8s (97-99) are not the same at all. Totally different.

Default Old link is not valid - anyone have it, or pertinent info?

This old link is not active - does anyone have a fix for the vanoty light (passenger side only)?

Both bulbs have been verified as functional (and all other interior lights are working well) - is it a problem of voltage, a fus, or a switch that has gone bad?

Thanks in advance,
Luk

I have diagnosed this down to the switch inside of the visor being the issue - I have yet to tear into it (for fear it will never look quite the same), but the most relevant documentation I can find is located at:

http://www.passatworld.com/forums/sh...d.php?t=104168

My next option is to buy another visor assembly, but for $50-100 via e-bay, I am deciding if the annoyance os worth the $...
